STUART — Attorney Steven Warner is celebrating 35 years with the third largest legal association in the nation.

A member of the Florida Bar since 1982, Warner told the Florida Record his three-and-a-half decade membership with the group has defied time.

"It just seems to be a journey that continues as time flies," Warner said. "It doesn't feel like I have been a member for 35 years."

As an associate at Travis R. Walker Law Office in Stuart, Warner is well-versed in litigation, transactions and attorney and client management systems, but it is his love of numbers that introduced him to law. The University of Miami graduate first received an accounting degree before he decided to dedicate his life to legal matters.

"I started with tax work as an account and then into estate planning. I fell in love with real estate and started to do real estate title work and opened my own practice and did that for 10 years," Warner said. "I love case law and I seem to have a knack for disputing legal issues. The part of litigation I like is resolving a case."

Warner does that well, according to his firm. Firm founder Travis Walker told TCPalm news his team is proud to have such an esteemed and experienced member of the Florida Bar working with them.

“Steven brings many years of experience and a host of skills to the table, all of which provide value to our clients,” Walker said in the news report.

Formerly a senior associate at Conroy Simberg in West Palm Beach and Steven J. Jacobson Law Offices in Fort Lauderdale, Warner said during his entire law career, he has prided himself on "being a part of a system that is designed to help people."

"The bar has provided guidance on how to be a professional," Warner said. "Professionalism is about being respectful to everyone, doing your best, being prepared and honest. It is about representing your clients the best that you can in the confines of the law."
