Woman claims First Source Advantaged unlawfully contacted her knowing that she was represented by counsel

Late 01

MIAMI – A Miami-Dade County consumer alleges a debt collector unlawfully contacted her.

Janet Boue filed a complaint on March 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against First Source Advantage LLC alleging violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she was harmed and will continue to be harmed by defendant's wrongful conduct of communicating directly with plaintiff in an attempt to collect on an alleged debt despite knowing that the plaintiff is represented by an attorney. The plaintiff holds First Source Advantage LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly communicated directly with plaintiff against FDCPA and the FCCPA.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in her favor, damages, attorney's fees, litigation expenses, costs of suit, declaratory relief, enjoinder from further violation, and further relief as the court deems proper. She is represented by Joel D. Lucoff of Debt Rescue Clinic in Miami.
