Law money 02

ORLANDO – A woman has filed a suit against her Belleview employer over allegations that she is owed unpaid minimum and overtime wages.

Mary Lisa Russell filed a complaint on March 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division against ECI Electric Inc., William Lawson and Paul Lawson citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for the defendants from August 2012 to April 2016.

The plaintiff holds ECI Electric Inc., William Lawson and Paul Lawson responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to compensate its employees of overtime wages at a rate of time-and-one-half and failed to pay a minimum wage.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment in her favor, actual and compensatory damages, attorney's fees, costs of suit, and further relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Jeremiah J. Talbott of Law Office of Jeremiah J. Talbott PA in Pensacola.
