Law money 10

FORT LAUDERDALE – A live-in housekeeper for a Miami-Dade County individual has filed a suit over allegations of not being paid a minimum wages.

Luz A. Becerra Gutierrez filed a complaint on March 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Maria Granados alleging that the employer failed to pay fair compensation to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff worked for the defendant from 2009 and 2016. The plaintiff holds Granados responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay minimum wages to the plaintiff as required by the federal law.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks double wages, all minimum wages still owing, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. The plaintiff is represented by J.H. Zidell of J.H. Zidell PA in Miami Beach.
