Woman alleges she was injured on Norwegian Sky ship because of wet deck

Cruise 09

MIAMI – A Florida woman alleges she was injured on a cruise ship after slipping on a wet deck.

Jane Elizabeth Snider-Hancox filed a complaint on March 13 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against NCL (Bahamas) LTD alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 9, 2016, she boarded defendant's vessel, the Norwegian Sky, when she slipped and fell on a wet floor on the top deck, which resulted in injuries to her body and extremities. She alleges she suffered pain, incurred medical expenses, lost wages and earning capacity, suffered physical handicap, disability and mental anguish. The plaintiff holds NCL (Bahamas) LTD responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to inspect and repair the hazardous condition of the area, failed to barricade or cordon off said condition, and failed to provide adequate lighting.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages against the defendant. She is represented by David L. Perkins and John B. Agnetti of Hoffman, Larin & Agnetti PA in Miami.
