FORT LAUDERDALE – A retiree alleges he was not paid at the correct rate for overtime work while employed by an auto club.
Otis Lowery filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against The Auto Club Group Inc., doing business as AAA Auto Club Group, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for the defendant from January 2015 until he retired in March 2016. The plaintiff holds The Auto Club Group Inc., doing business as AAA Auto Club Group responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay overtime wages at a rate of time-and-one-half to the plaintiff.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, liquidated damages, court costs and any further relief the court grants. He is represented by Gina M. Cadogan of Gina M. Cadogan PA in Plantation.
