Couple files suit against Ocwen Loan Servicing LLC, Deutsche Bank Trust Co. Americas over alleged collection actions

NEW PORT RICHEY – A Pasco County couple alleges a debt collector has engaged in illegal collection practices.

Marc Roussel and Nathalie G. Roussel filed a complaint on March 8 against Ocwen Loan Servicing LLC and Deutsche Bank Trust Co. Americas in the 6th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Pasco County alleging violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages from receiving several collection calls from Ocwen despite the defendants knowing the plaintiffs were represented by counsel. The plaintiffs holds Ocwen Loan Servicing LLC and Deutsche Bank Trust Co. Americas responsible because the defendants allegedly kept on calling the plaintiff using an automatic telephone dialing system, mailed letters, visited the plaintiff's place of business and other unlawful actions.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek enjoin the defendants, statutory damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Andrew M. Lyons and Rebbecca A. Goodall of Lyons Law Group in New Port Richey.
