Man alleges door caused shoulder injury on Carnival ship

Cruise 01

MIAMI – A Canadian passenger on the Carnival Breeze alleges he suffered a shoulder injury on the ship because of a door.

Edward D. Graca filed a complaint on March 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division against Carnival Corp., doing business as Carnival Cruise Lines, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 17, 2016, his shoulder was torn because a heavy wooden door closed on him. The plaintiff holds Carnival Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn the plaintiff regarding the defective nature of the door closer.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, interest, all legal fees, and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Alexander J. Perkins of Perkins Law Offices PA in Miami.
