FORT LAUDERDALE — An employee is suing a pizza business, alleging unpaid wages, violation of applicable minimum wage law, and violation of workers compensation acts.

Michael Martyn filed a complaint Feb. 28 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Brooklyn Boyz Pizza Enterprises, Inc. and John Frank Mineo, alleging they failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, Martyn suffered monetary damages from not being paid minimum wage during his employment that began in July 2016. The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to pay minimum wage to Martyn for all hours worked.

Martyn seeks trial by jury, unpaid wages, all legal fees and all other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorney Chad Levy of Law Offices of Levy & Levy PA in Sunrise.
