MIAMI – A former attendant and cashier for the owners of gasoline and convenient stores alleges he was terminated without warning or reason.
Camilo Jose Suarez filed a complaint on Jan. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against PDVSOL LLC, Giuseppe Imperatori, Fernando Imperatori, Jose A. Richter and Carolina Morales citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 15, 2016, he suffered damages from having his employment abruptly terminated by his employer, the defendants, without logical explanation or prior notice. The plaintiff holds PDVSOL LLC, Giuseppe Imperatori, Fernando Imperatori, Richter and Morales responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate reason for the termination of plaintiff's employment and failed to pay plaintiff for overtime compensation.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendants, actual damages, double damages/liquidated damages, attorneys' fees, costs of suit, and further relief as the court deems equitable. He is represented by Carlos A. Ziegenhirt of Carlos A. Ziegenhirt PA in Miami.
