ORLANDO – A Melbourne financial services company is accused of not paying a former licensed sales assistant proper overtime wages.
Taylor R. Krystkowiak filed a complaint on Jan. 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division against Heron Financial Partners Inc. alleging that the former employer failed to provide employees their rights to proper wages.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for the defendant from December 2014 until April 2015. He alleges he worked hours in excess of 40 hours within a work week, but did not receive overtime premiums for all of his overtime hours. The plaintiff holds Heron Financial Partners Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly apprise its employees of their rights under the FLSA, and failed to compensate its employees of overtime wages.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant, unpaid back wages, liquidated damages, interest, declaratory judgment, costs, attorney's fees, and further relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Christopher J. Saba of Wenzel Fenton Cabassa PA in Tampa.
