Passenger alleges wet deck on cruise ship caused fall, injuries

Cruise 06

MIAMI – A Pasco County woman alleges a wet deck caused her injuries while traveling on the Enchantment of the Seas cruise ship.

Carrie Bradley filed a complaint on Jan. 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 1, 2016, she suffered injuries to her hand and wrist when she slipped and fell on a wet deck. The plaintiff holds Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn the plaintiff regarding the wet deck near the pool area.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages plus interest in an amount of more than $15,000, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Kevin McLaughlin of Wagner McLaughlin P.A. in Tampa.
