OCALA, Fla. — Michael C. Siboni, a founding member of Siboni and Buchanan PLLC in Ocala, recently was accepted as a new member of the American Law Society Board of Directors with America’s Top Lawyers distinction.
The American Law Society made the announcement in a Nov. 24, 2016 news release.
“He has focused his practice on complex litigation in the areas of aviation, product liability, personal injury, wrongful death, commercial transactions, insurance and equine law in both state and federal court,” the news release said. “Siboni is certified by the Florida Supreme Court as a circuit civil and appellate mediator. Additionally, he is a federal-court mediator and Florida Supreme Court-qualified as an arbitrator.”
Thomson Reuters recognized him as a Florida “Super Lawyer” from 2006 to 2012, ranking him in the top 5 percent of his peers. Siboni is licensed to practice in front of courts such as the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals, the 5th and 11th U.S. District Court circuits, and the Southern, Middle and Northern districts of Florida.
“Drawing on 31 years of legal experience, Mr. Siboni specializes in finding better ways to settle disputes through the practice of mediation,” the news release said. “Through the mediation process, Siboni aims to amicably resolve disputes and enable legal matters to result in a win-win outcome for all concerned parties. According to Siboni’s biography on his law firm’s website, his expertise has brought considerable recognition from multiple organizations.
“(Siboni) maintains an ‘AV’ rating by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, and Thomson Reuters has recognized him as a Florida ‘Super Lawyer,’” the news release said. “Siboni is most notably a Senior Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honorary society comprised of experienced and effective litigators throughout the United States who have exhibited accomplishment in litigation and trial work, and have superior ethical reputations.”
The “AV” rating is the highest-such rating a lawyer can receive from his or her peers in the legal community.
Additionally, Siboni’s professional memberships include The Florida Bar, American Bar Association, Marion County Bar Association, Florida Academy of Professional Mediators, Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association, D.R. Smith Inns of Court and he is the Co-Founder of the American Academy of Alternative Dispute Resolution.
