Woman claims she was not paid minimum, overtime wages for work at Cimy's Motel

TAMPA – The former manager for a Clearwater motel alleges she was not properly compensated.

Kimberly Davis filed a complaint on Jan. 10 in the Tampa Division of the Middle District of Florida against L.S.M. Beach Inc., Sheila Leagas and Lee Leagas alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked 66 hours per week for the defendants as a motel manager for Cimy's Motel. The plaintiff holds L.S.M. Beach Inc., Sheila Leagas and Lee Leagas responsible because she was allegedly not paid minimum wages or overtime compensation while working for the defendants.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by Gregory A. Owens and Miguel Bouzas of Bouzas Owens, P.A. in Trinity.
