Woman alleges she cut leg while exiting Carnival tender

Cruise 09

MIAMI – A Georgia woman alleges she was injured while traveling on a cruise.

Nina Lawrence filed a complaint on Jan. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Carnival Corp., doing business as Carnival Cruise Lines, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Jan. 11, 2016, she suffered physical injuries, including a deep gash on her right leg, after she fell while exiting a tender. The plaintiff holds Carnival Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to implement a safe and reasonable operation to prevent dangerous conditions.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, medical expenses, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by Brandon L. Chase of Law Offices of Brandon L. Chase PA in Miami.
