ORLANDO – A cyclist alleges that the road conditions at the intersection of Maitland Boulevard and Maitland Avenue caused him to fall.
William Perkins filed a complaint on Dec. 28 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Orange County Florida and the Florida Department of Transportation alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in January 2013, he suffered physical injuries from falling from his bicycle because of uneven and dangerous road conditions. The plaintiff holds Orange County Florida and the Florida Department of Transportation responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to repair the uneven roadways and failed to warn of the allegedly hazardous conditions.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks money damages and all legal fees. He is represented by Steven J. Kirschner and Christopher J. Konicek of Kirschner & Konicek, PLLC in Winter Park.
