Georgia woman claims she was injured in fall on Norwegian Cruise Line ship

Cruise 08

MIAMI – A Georgia couple alleges the wife was injured while traveling on the Pride of America cruise ship.

Brenda Allen and Donald Allen Sr. filed a complaint on Dec. 30 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against NCL Corp. LTD; NCL (Bahamas) LTD, doing business as Norwegian Cruise Line; and NCL America LLC, doing business as NCL America, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on May 2016, Brenda Allen sustained physical injuries when she accidentally tripped because of a raised edge on a pedestrian walkway because it was a similar color as the floor. The plaintiffs hold NCL Corp. LTD; NCL (Bahamas) LTD, doing business as Norwegian Cruise Line; and NCL America LLC, doing business as NCL America, responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide adequate warning to the plaintiff regarding the hazardous condition of the walkway.

The plaintiffs seek judgment against the defendants for all damages. They are represented by John M. Murray, Nathan M. Wheat and Mike Breen of Murray, Morin & Herman PA in Tampa.
