Law money 12

MIAMI – A Miami-Dade County employer is alleged to have not paid overtime or minimum wages to its app developers.

Andrew Durden, Carlos Viso, Christopher Dieguez, Kristopher Mesa and Sasha Hernandez filed a complaint on behalf of others similarly situated on Dec. 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Zapporoo LLC, Joel Cordle II, Joshua Damien Cordle, Carmen Lakatis and John Edward Lakatis citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiffs holds Zapporoo LLC, Joel Cordle II, Joshua Damien Cordle, Carmen Lakatis and John Edward Lakatis responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premiums at a rate of time-and-one-half for working more than 40 hours per week. They also allege they were not paid for their final month of employment with the defendants.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek actual damages for unpaid wages plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by R. Edward Rosenberg of Sorondo Rosenberg PA in Coral Gables.
