FORT LAUDERDALE – A Coconut Creek resident is alleged to have defaulted on a student loan issued in 1997.
United States of America filed a complaint on Dec. 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Jerriel Moreland alleging that the individual failed to settle a debt with the plaintiff.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Moreland failed to pay the principal amount of a debt plus interest.
The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $2,120.76 plus interest of $1,900.02 and interest and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Jennifer Margolis Marquez of Newman & Marquez, P.A. in Coral Gables.
