Wells Fargo Bank claims companies were using marks on counterfeit documents

MIAMI – Film financing and production businesses are being accused of using Wells Fargo marks without authorization.

Wells Fargo Bank NA and Wells Fargo Advisors LLC filed a complaint on Dec. 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Forrest Capital Partners Inc., Forrest Capital and Co. LLC, Weathervane Productions Inc., WVP Holding LLC, Benjamin McConley and Jason Van Eman alleging misrepresentation, false designation of origin, false advertising and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they suffered damages to their businesses. The plaintiffs holds Forrest Capital Partners Inc., Forrest Capital and Co. LLC, Weathervane Productions Inc., WVP Holding LLC,  McConley and Van Eman responsible because the defendants allegedly provided third parties with forged and counterfeit documents using the plaintiff's marks.

The plaintiffs seek to enjoin the defendants, compensatory damages, all legal fees, injunctive relief and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Patrick M. Causey, Charles M. Harris Jr. and Beth A. Cronin of Trenam Law in St. Petersburg.
