Patrick Corvetti sues Wellington Rehab and Health Center for inadequate care leading to death

In the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit, Palm Beach, Florida, a lawsuit has been filed by Patrick Corvetti, as Personal Representative of the Estate of Tania Burpee (deceased), against Wellington Rehab and Health Center LLC, doing business as The Luxe at Wellington Rehabilitation Center. The case ID is 502024CA003078XXXAMB Div: AF and was filed on April 3rd, 2024.

The plaintiff alleges that during Tania Burpee's residency at The Luxe at Wellington Rehabilitation Center, the staff failed to develop an adequate care plan and properly monitor her treatment. As a result, she suffered from respiratory failure, hypovolemic shock, and a medication overdose which led to her death on May 8th, 2023.

The plaintiff's counsel is Ford & Dean P.A., who have conducted a good faith investigation into the merits of this claim. The defendant is accused of violating Chapter 400 of Florida Statutes which sets standards for operating nursing homes.

Patrick Corvetti seeks damages in excess of $50,000 exclusive of interest and costs. He alleges that Wellington Rehab and Health Center violated Tania Burpee's resident rights under Florida Statute §400 by failing to provide adequate healthcare services and protective measures.
