MIAMI – A former employee for a Miami-Dade County motor vehicle repair shop alleges he was not paid a minimum wage during his employment.

Dalmond Myles filed a complaint on Jan. 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Ram & Sons Inc. and Kissoon Ram citing the Fair Labor Standards Act and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours per week and was even required to work during weekends without being paid a minimum wage. The plaintiff holds Ram & Sons Inc. and Ram responsible because the defendants allegedly also failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premiums at a rate of time-and-one-half for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Brian H. Pollock of Fairlaw Firm in Miami.
