MIAMI – A Hollywood man alleges a Hialeah Gardens restaurant violated wage laws.

Lazaro Pons filed a complaint on Jan. 11 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against OKS Hialeah Gardens LLC, doing business as Sonic, and Arthur J. Halleran Jr. citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The plaintiff holds OKS Hialeah Gardens LLC, doing business as Sonic, and Halleran Jr. responsible because the defendants allegedly knowingly operated their business and did not pay wages in conformance with the law.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all back wages due and owing, liquidated damages, order the defendant to pay $1,000 fine to the state of Florida for each willful violation, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as this court deems just.
