Law money 09

MIAMI — A former employee is suing Boss Rain Forest Pet Resort Inc., d/b/a Boss the Pet Connection; Enrique Fernandez; and Patricia Fernandez, alleging that the employers violated wage laws and fired him in retaliation for complaining about wage violations.

Kennie Lee Chappel Jr. filed a complaint on Nov. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the defendants, alleging that they rounded down his hours, deducted hours, failed to pay proper overtime compensation and routinely paid him late.

The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly violating wage laws and firing him when he complained about the matter.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks back and front pay, lost benefits, liquidated damages, reinstatement, damages for emotional distress, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Elliot Kozolchyk of Koz Law, P.A. in Fort Lauderdale.
