MIAMI – Two former employees of a barbershop chain allege they were not properly compensated for all hours worked.

Rosa Romero and Luis Mateo filed a complaint on behalf of other similarly situated individuals on Nov. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Razzle Dazzle Barbershop Inc., RazzleDazzle Barbershop II Inc., Razzledazzle Barbershop Midtown LLC, RazzleDazzle Barbershop Sobe LLC, Razzledazzle Barbershop Somi LLC and Elena Linares citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiffs holds Razzle Dazzle Barbershop Inc., RazzleDazzle Barbershop II Inc., Razzledazzle Barbershop Midtown LLC, RazzleDazzle Barbershop Sobe LLC, Razzledazzle Barbershop Somi LLC and Linares responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiffs any overtime premium for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek actual damages, double damages/liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Anthony M. Georges-Pierre and Anaeli C. Petisco of Remer & Georges-Pierre PLLC in Miami.
