Greenberg Traurig, LLP issued the following announcement on Dec. 30.

Reginald Sainvil, an associate in the Miami office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., has been named as a “Top 40 Under 40” attorney in Florida by The National Black Lawyers (NBL). The honor recognizes 40 African American attorneys from each state who are under the age of 40 and have an outstanding reputation among peers, the judiciary, and the public.

The NBL “Top 40 Under 40” are selected after a rigorous nomination and vetting process. NBL members nominate their peers for the selection process, and nominees must meet several criteria to receive an invitation, including having notable achievements, settlements, and verdicts as a lawyer, and leadership and membership in other national and state specialty lawyer organizations.

The NBL operates with the mission to celebrate legal excellence by promoting its attorneys as subject-matter experts, developing a strong national network of African American attorneys, and facilitating the exchange of information to help members maintain their leadership status, according to the organization’s website.

“I am honored to be recognized by The National Black Lawyers, which is helping to increase diversity in the legal industry by offering its members professional resources and giving them the opportunity to build connections,” Sainvil said. “I look forward to continuing to expand my role in the organization and the legal community, working to further promote diversity in the legal profession.”

As a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice, Sainvil represents corporate debtors, indenture trustees, financial institutions, and secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy cases and non-judicial restructurings. He has broad advisory and litigation experience with complex issues that arise in reorganizations, restructurings, receiverships, workouts, liquidations, and distressed acquisitions and sales, in both domestic and cross-border situations and proceedings.
