FOX ROTHSCHILD LLP: Carol Thorstad-Forsyth Appointed Vice Chair of AIPLA Women in IP Law Committee

Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Carol E. Thorstad-Forsyth, who was appointed to serve as vice chair of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) Women in IP Law Committee for a two-year term.

The Women in IP Law Committee develops content to facilitate its members’ professional development and is committed to creating a community of empowered women leaders in IP.

A longstanding and dedicated member of AIPLA, Thorstad-Forsyth was selected for the new role by the board president.

She previously served as chair of the AIPLA Women in IP Law Outreach Subcommittee, which plans and executes the organizations key events including the international delegation and global networking programs and three yearly breakfast programs. These events provided hundreds of women in IP the opportunity to establish and strengthen relationships among business women in their respective geographic regions. She received the 2015 AIPLA Project Award for her commitment to globally expanding the Women in IP Law Committee’s yearly networking event.

She also founded and co-chaired the AIPLA Cares Women in IP National Community Service Event, which establishes and strengthens relationships for women in the industry while helping those in need during the holiday season.

A partner in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice, Thorstad-Forsyth provides guidance on the protection of intellectual property to clients that include major defense contractors and market leaders in global communications, consumer goods and network/software solutions.

She was named a 2018 Top Lawyer for Intellectual Property by Palm Beach Illustrated and was among Florida’s Legal Elite for Intellectual Property by Florida Trend in 2018 and 2017 as well as a Young Lawyer On the Rise by the Daily Business Review in 2017.

She earned her J.D. from the New England School of Law and her B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Boston University.
