Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Thomas Oppenheimer, who was named to the list of attorneys “On the Rise” by the Daily Business Review.
This award recognizes attorneys in the South Florida business community who are “amassing robust books of business” while “showing expertise in litigation or transactional work and committing themselves to pro bono, charitable and professional volunteer work.”
A partner in the firm’s Corporate Department, Oppenheimer is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in International Law, an achievement that signifies the highest level of competency and experience for attorneys in their area of the law. He practices primarily in general corporate law and international business transactions, including private placements, mergers and acquisitions (inbound and outbound), tender offers, in-bound structuring of foreign investments, joint ventures and commercial contracts.
Oppenheimer represents foreign high-net worth individuals and family offices, foreign franchisors, family businesses, financial institutions, hedge funds, startups, entrepreneurs and small to mid-size U.S. and foreign private companies. He closed numerous transactions for his clients valued in excess of $100 million dollars from December 2018 to January 2019.
As a member of the Dade Legal Aid Put Something Back program, Oppenheimer volunteers at the Small Claims Court Clinic where he offers free legal advice to pro se clients bringing cases in small claims court.
Oppenheimer is a member of the Latin America & Caribbean Committee of the American Bar Association’s International Law Section, the Florida Bar’s International Law Section and the Dade County Bar Association.
He earned his J.D., cum laude, from American University and his B.A. from Emory University.
