ORLANDO — A Dade County woman is suing La Qunita, alleging negligence led to her injuries.

Mzia Galdava filed a complaint Aug. 23 in Orange County Circuit Court against Marieta Inc., doing business as La Quinta Inns & Suites, alleging failure to keep the Orlando premises in a reasonably safe condition.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 12, 2017, Mzia Galdava was lawfully on La Quinta premises, 5825 International Drive, Orlando, when she slipped and fell in water and/or accumulated algae on the property.

As a result, Galdava says she was injured, suffered pain, mental anguish and incurred medical expenses and hospital expenses.

The plaintiff alleges La Quinta Inns & Suites created or failed to remedy a dangerous condition, failed to properly maintain the property and failed to warn Galdava of the dangerous and/or hazardous condition.

Galdava seeks trial by jury, compensatory damages in excess of $15,000, plus interest and costs. She is represented by attorney of Hollywood.
