Woman seeks damages over auto accident in Walmart parking lot

CLEARWATER – A St. Petersburg resident alleges she was injured when her vehicle was struck in a Walmart parking lot.

Angelene Brown filed a complaint on May 29 in the Pinellas County Circuit Court against Willette A. McCants and Towana D. Robinson alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 9, 2015, she was driving on 34th Street South in a Walmart parking lot in St. Petersburg when Robinson collided with her vehicle. The suit states Robinson was operating a vehicle owned by McCants at the time of the collision.

The plaintiff holds McCants and Robinson responsible because Robinson allegedly operated the vehicle in a careless and negligent manner.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $15,000 plus court costs, interest, attorney's fees, and such other relief the court deems just and proper. She is represented by John R. Mathias of Law Offices of John R. Mathias PA in St. Petersburg.
