CLEARWATER — A customer is suing a St. Petersburg commercial bowling alley owner, alleging negligence led to injuries.
Jeffrey Hundley filed a complaint May 22 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Sunrise Lanes Inc., alleging failure to maintain the walking surfaces in a reasonably safe condition.
According to the complaint, on Oct. 20, 2015, Hundley was bowling Sunrise Lanes, 6393 Martin Luther King Jr. St. N., St. Petersburg. The suit says Hundley tripped and fell on a broken piece of the rubber/plastic bullnose facing on the steps.
Hundley says he sustained bodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish and medical expenses. The plaintiff alleges Sunrise Lanes failed to repair or remedy the broken bullnose facing on the step-up from the bowling area to the aisle and failed to properly light the area where Hundley tripped.
Hundley seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000 and costs of this action. He is represented by attorney Daniel J. Leeper of Leeper and Leeper in St. Petersburg.
