ORLANDO — A former employee is suing Agmus Venture Inc., d/b/a Sistema Universitario Ana G. Memdez Inc., alleging age discrimination and a hostile work environment.

Genevieve Cautino filed a complaint on May 15 in the Orange Circuit Court against Agmus Venture Inc., alleging that her former employer breached its duty of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered harassment and ridicule on a daily basis, was also denied basic rights and benefits that were promised to her, and was eventually terminated by the defendant for having complained on several occasions to management about the ongoing hostile work environment.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because the company allegedly failed to take prompt and remedial action to cure the ongoing harassment, and caused the plaintiff to suffer an adverse employment action by terminating her employment without valid reason.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury; and seeks a judgment against the defendant for all relief entitled to, back pay, front pay, monies lost , attorney's fees and costs. She is represented by Jerry Girley of The Girley Law Firm PA in Orlando.
