ORLANDO — An Orlando resident is suing an insurance company, alleging breach of contract for refusal to apply payments.
Ysabel Tamares filed a complaint April 30 in Orange County Circuit Court against American Integrity Insurance Company of Florida, alleging failure to provide proper payment for damages.
According to the complaint, on Sept. 18, 2017, Tamares' residence at 12508 Lynchburg Court, Orlando, was suddenly hit by a fire, causing extensive damages with the homeowner's insurance in full force and effect. Tamares alleges American Integrity was timely notified of the damage and she has complied with all conditions precedent required by the policy.
The plaintiff alleges American Integrity Insurance of Florida has failed to timely evaluate and pay the benefits owed under the terms of the policy.
Tamares seeks trial by jury, damages exceeding $15,000, excluding attorney fees, court costs, interest and any other just and equitable relief. She is represented by attorney Leo A. Manzanilla of MSPG Law Group PA in Coral Gables.
