ORLANDO — An Orlando property owner is suing an insurance company, alleging breach of contract.

Danny Anderson filed a complaint March 1 in Orange County Circuit Court against The First Liberty Insurance Corporation, alleging the defendant failed to perform its obligation after a hurricane.

According to the complaint, Sept. 11, 2017, Anderson notified First Liberty of damages sustained in his property at 1857 Plantation Oak Drive, Orlando, due to Hurricane Irma. Anderson says he complied with all conditions to entitle him to recover damages under the policy but he has failed to receive any insurance coverage to pay for losses sustained.

Anderson alleges First Liberty Insurance failed or refused to fully perform under the policy and failed to fully pay for all the losses covered under the insurance policy.

Anderson seeks trial by jury, damages of at least $15,000, plus interest on any overdue payments, attorney fees, and court costs. He is represented by attorney David A. Spain of Morgan & Morgan in Orlando.
