ORLANDO — An Orlando property owner is suing an insurance company, alleging alleged breach of insurance contract.
Angelo Mallari filed a complaint March 1 in Orange County Circuit Court against American Integrity Insurance Company, alleging the defendant breached its insurance agreement by failing to provide coverage after a hurricane.
According to the complaint, on Sept. 11, 2017, Mallari notified American Integrity of damage to his property at 6386 Sextant Court, Orlando, due to Hurricane Irma. Mallari says he complied with all conditions needed to recover damages under the policy but has failed to receive any insurance coverage from the defendant.
The plaintiff alleges American Integrity Insurance has failed or refuses to fully perform under the policy and failed to fully pay for the losses of insurance contract.
Mallari seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, plus interest on any overdue payments, attorney fees and court costs. He is represented by attorney David A. Spain of Morgan & Morgan, PA in Orlando.
