Lender alleges defendant failed to pay back loans

Late 02

ORLANDO — A lender is suing a Duval County man, alleging unjust enrichment in failure to pay off loans.

Stacy Jemtrud filed a complaint Feb. 15 in Orange County Circuit Court against Kurt Hubbard, alleging the defendant failed to pay off two separate loans.

According to the complaint, on Oct. 18, 2013, Jemtrud provided Hubbard a loan of $37,500 and on Feb. 26, 2014, shoe provided another loan to the defendant, this time for $5,000. She says the defendant has failed to provide full payments on the debt, which stands at $15,500.

The plaintiff alleges Hubbard has failed and continues to fail to pay the sums due and owing Jemtrud and has received and retained monetary benefit without paying dues at the expense and detriment of the plaintiff.

Jemtrud seeks trial by jury, damages for all money owed, plus court costs, attorney fees, pre-judgment interest and all further relief the court deems appropriate. She is represented by attorney Erin A. Zebell of Tampa.
