Car accident 07

CLEARWATER — A St. Petersburg woman is suing a motorist, alleging his negligence caused a crash that injured the plaintiff.

Joni Davis filed a complaint Feb. 5 in Pinellas Circuit Court against Kevin David Knight, alleging the motorist failed to exercise standard care and skill in the operation of a vehicle.

According to the complaint, on March 14, 2017, Davis was driving near 16th Street North and 54th Avenue in St. Petersburg. The suit says Knight's vehicle collided with Davis, car, leading to bodily injury, pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, medical expenses, loss of earnings, and aggravation of a previous existing condition.

The plaintiff alleges Knight failed to adequately maintain and operate a motor vehicle so as not to cause harm, and failed to be on a proper lookout for other vehicles.

Davis seeks trial by jury and damages in excess of $15,000. She is represented by attorney Adam Brum of Morgan & Morgan Tampa PA in St. Petersburg.
