Customer blames Orlando restaurant for fall, injuries

Slip02

ORLANDO — An Ohio woman is suing an Orlando hotel restaurant, negligence caused her to fall and suffer injuries.

Trisha L. Morrow of Westerville, Ohio, filed a complaint Jan. 5 in Orange County Circuit Court against Rosen Hotels and Resorts Inc., doing business as Harry's Poolside Bar & Grill, and Rosen Centre Inc., alleging they failed to follow applicable safety guidelines and regulations.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 3, 2016, Morrow was lawfully at Harry's as a business invitee. The suit says Morrow stepped in what appeared to be water left on the floor of the defendants' premises and fell. As a result, Morrow says she sustained injuries, disability, mental anguish, incurred medical expenses and aggravation of a previous existing condition.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to warn her of the latent danger, failed to maintain the floor in a safe manner, and failed to cordon off a dangerous area.

Morrow seeks trial by jury, damages of more than $15,000, attorney fees, court costs and all other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorneys James T. Butler and Christopher Boyd of Butler & Boyd PA in Tampa.
