Slip01

ORLANDO — A hotel guest is suing a Days Inn in Orlando, alleging failure to provide a safe environment to invitees.

Autumn Budde filed a complaint Dec. 18 in Orange County Circuit Court against Du-Pan Lights Hotel LLC, doing business as Days Inn Orlando Airport Florida Mall, alleging the defendant failed to reasonably maintain its property so as to not expose individuals to unreasonably injury or harm.

According to the complaint, on July 24, 2016, Budde she was a guest at defendant's hotel, 9301 S. Orange Blossom Trail, Orlando, when she attempted to board a complimentary hotel shuttle bus. The suit says she encountered an unreasonably dangerous step up to the shuttle, causing her to fall and suffer injuries.

The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to warn of an unsafe condition, failed to prevent access to an area which had a dangerous condition and failed to inspect its premises for unsafe conditions.

Budde seeks trial by jury, judgment for damages in excess of $15,000 and all other relief the court deems just. She is represented by attorney Michael L. Walker of Florin Roebig, PA in Palm Harbor.
