Brazilian national alleges Florida corporation owes $45,000

Late 07

ORLANDO — A Brazilian national is suing a Florida corporation, alleging breach of contract.

Valter Garcia Jr. filed a complaint Dec. 1 in Orange County Circuit Court against World Transportation of Florida Inc. alleging the defendant owes him more than $45,000.

According to the complaint, starting May 13, 2016, Garcia suffered economic damages as a result of World Transportation's misrepresentation to entice him to invest in the defendant's company. Consequently, the suit says, the defendant received a total of $58,000 from plaintiff.

However, Garcia says World Transportation has failed to provide any financial documents required under securities regulations, and failed to tender payments under the promissory note to return the plaintiff's investment money.

The plaintiff alleges World Transportation of Florida has failed to honor the terms of the promissory note by failing to tender full payments, and retained the benefit of Garcia's funds without paying the value thereof.

Garcia seeks trial by jury, judgment of $45,928.75, plus interest, attorney fees, court costs and any other remedy the court provides. He is represented by attorney Euribiades Cerrud II of CPLS PA in Orlando.
