Insurance 05

ORLANDO — An Orange County property owner is suing an insurance company, alleging breach of contract in failing to cover property damages.

Tulsiedai Jibodh filed a complaint Oct. 16 in Orange County Circuit Court against St. Johns Insurance Company Inc., alleging breach of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, in July 2016,  while the St. Johns insurance policy was in full force and effect, Jibodh suffered extensive roof and interior damage at her insured property at 359 Highbrooke Blvd., Ocoee, due to hail, rain and wind.

However, the suit says, St. Johns wrongfully denied the insurance claim and has failed and refused to fully pay the damages covered by the policy.

Jibodh seeks seeks trial by jury, compensatory damages of more than $15,000, interest, court costs and reasonable attorney fees. She is represented by attorney Derek L. Metts of Metts Legal PA in Winter Park.
