Booking agency accused of contract breach

ORLANDO — A client is suing an entertainment booking company, alleging breach of contract and failure to return $12,000.

Jonathan R. Simon filed a complaint Sept. 20 in the Ninth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida Orange County against BookingEntertainment.Com Inc., alleging violation of Florida Deceptive Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA).

According to the complaint, on July 20, Simon entered into a contract where he paid $12,000 to BookingEntertainment.Com to secure a booking of a musical artist known as T.I. for an event in Orlando. Simon says he failed to secure an acceptance offer and failed receive his payment within his 24 hours of the written request as the contract stipulated. 

The plaintiff alleges the defendant failed to secure an acceptance of Simon's offer and failed to return the $12,000 payment.

Simon seeks trial by jury, damages for reasonable value conferred, plus costs including attorney fees, and all relief the court deems just and proper. He is represented by attorney Michael J. Vaghaiwalla of Orlando Legal in Orlando.
