By Jenie Mallari-Torres | Oct 4, 2017

ORLANDO — An individual is suing Walt Disney Parks and Resorts US Inc. for alleged negligence.

Frank Butler filed a complaint on Aug. 17 in the Orange County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant failed to follow applicable safety guidelines and regulations.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was on the defendant’s premises on July 17, 2015 when he allegedly slipped and fell on a liquid substance and suffered bodily injury, pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, permanent and significant scarring, mental anguish and the aggravation of a pre-existing condition.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to follow its own policies regarding the dangerous condition, place caution signs, adequately inspect and maintain the premises and for allegedly failing to have adequate staff on duty.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages in excess of $15,000 plus interest and costs. He is represented by Varun Ramnarine of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
