Man accused of negligence after woman allegedly slips on overflowing toilet water

Slip02

FORT LAUDERDALE — An individual is suing Richard Randazzo for alleged negligence.

Kimberly Eaton filed a complaint on Aug. 2 in the Broward County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant failed to provide a safe environment for his guests.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that while she was on the defendant's property on Nov. 7, 2015, a toilet overflowed, causing the floors of the property to get wet, which allegedly caused her to slip and fall. The plaintiff claims that she suffered bodily injury, pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish, loss of earnings and aggravation of pre-existing injuries.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to properly inspect, maintain or repair the property, and for allegedly failing to warn her of the dangerous condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for damages, costs and other relief the court deems just. She is represented by Gary B. Englander of Englander Peebles in Fort Lauderdale.
