ORLANDO — An individual is suing ASI Assurance Corp. for alleged breach of contract.

Jennva Grant filed a complaint on July 5 in the Orange County Circuit Court, alleging that the defendant breached its duty of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that her property was damaged by water on January 27. While plaintiff allegedly complied with all conditions for her to recover damages under the policy, the defendant allegedly has refused to pay for the damages.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly breaching the insurance contract by refusing to pay for the damages to the plaintiff's property, and for allegedly requiring her to retain the services of an attorney to protect her rights.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against the defendant for all covered losses with interest on any overdue payments, declaratory relief, attorney's fees and costs. She is represented by Hewett G. Woodward of the Woodward Law Firm in Orlando.
