ORLANDO — A woman is suing LGLP Inc. d/b/a Chick-Fil-A, a fast food franchise, for alleged discrimination.
Cheryl Santana filed a complaint on June 21 in the Orange County Circuit Court, alleging that the fast food franchise breached its duty of good faith and fair dealing.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered damages from the defendant's wrongful conduct on June 23, 2016 in which she allegedly was subjected to disparate treatment on the basis of her age. The defendant allegedly refused to hire her because of her age.
The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly acting with malice and reckless disregard for her protected rights and interfering with her right to enjoy the same benefits and privileges as other applicants.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages, compensation for lost wages, benefits and other remuneration. She is represented by Luis A. Cabassa of Wenzel Fenton Cabassa PA in Tampa.
