Central Florida Fair Inc. accused of negligence

ORLANDO — A patron is suing Central Florida Fair Inc., a property owner, for alleged negligence.

Nancy Mercer filed a complaint on June 21 in the Orange County Circuit Court against, alleging that the defendant owner breached its duty of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she tripped and fell over a stake in the ground on the defendant's property on March 7, 2015, which allegedly caused her to sustain physical and mental injuries, aggravate a pre-existing condition and incur medical and traveling expenses.

The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible for allegedly failing to properly maintain and inspect the premises to prevent the dangers and warn her of the existence of the dangerous condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for an amount in excess of $15,000 plus costs, interest and attorney's fees. She is represented by Robert N. Hemphill of Cullen & Hemphill PLC in Winter Park.
