Orlando homeowner files suit after American Integrity failed to pay for property damages

Insurance 05

ORLANDO – The owner of a Florida property alleges that his insurer breached their contract by failing to pay for his property loss.

Pasram Singh filed a complaint on June 14 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against American Integrity Insurance Co. of Florida alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on June 1, 2016, while his property was insured under a homeowner's insurance policy, it sustained a covered loss as a result of sudden and accidental hail, windstorm and water damage. The suit states the plaintiff submitted a claim but that the defendant has failed and refused to pay benefits necessary to repair the plaintiff's home.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages, interest, attorney's fees, costs and whatever relief the court deems appropriate. He is represented by James J. Dye of Morgan & Morgan PA in Orlando.
