FORT LAUDERDALE – A Parkland man alleges that a company he hired to install a floor in his residence failed to do it correctly, causing damages.

Brian Bentman filed a complaint on June 7 in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Broward County against The Florida Home Improvement USA Corp. alleging negligence and breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he hired the defendant to install new wood floors in his home. He alleges the defendant improperly installed the wood flooring to the concrete floor, which caused it to break, bend and change color.

The plaintiff holds The Florida Home Improvement USA Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to lay the floor boards correctly, failed to use industry-standard adhesive and theft of family heirlooms.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for damages of more than $15,000, plus interest, attorney's fees and costs. He is represented by Vincent F. Vaccarella of Vincent F. Vaccarella PA in Fort Lauderdale.
