Man alleges liquid on floor of Wawa Inc. store caused injuries

Slip02

ORLANDO – An Orange County man claims that he was injured at an Orlando gas station.

Quincey Starks filed a complaint on June 8 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Wawa Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 8, 2016, he walked through the front door of the defendant's store and slipped on a puddle of liquid inside, causing him severe injury and pain.

The plaintiff holds Wawa Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to place barricades, wet floor signs, or other marking devices to alert customers and failed to remove objects or other similar objects from the floor of the premises.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendant for general damages and further relief to which plaintiff may be justly entitled. He is represented by Gordon Fenderson and Douglas W. Shanteau of Fenderson Law Firm LLC in Jacksonville.
